Coast Holiday Referral Program

These Coast Referral Program Terms and Conditions (these “Terms and Conditions”) govern your participation in the Coast Holiday Referral Program (the “Referral Program”). By submitting a referral form, you will be deemed to have accepted and be bound by these Terms and Conditions. 

Coast may modify these Terms and Conditions by posting an updated version on this website. By continuing to participate in the Referral Program after the posting of such modifications, you shall be deemed to accept such modifications. 

If you are affiliated with a business that is applying for or has opened a Coast account, the Platform Agreement, as amended from time to time, is incorporated into and forms part of these Terms and Conditions and shall apply to your participation in the Referral Program. In the event of any inconsistency between any of the provisions of the Platform Agreement and these Terms and Conditions, these Terms and Conditions will control. 

For purposes of these Terms and Conditions, “you” refers to the natural person signing up for the Referral Program (the “Referring Party”) and the business entity that applies for or opens a Coast account using a referral link (the “Referee”).

How the Referral Program Works

The Referring Party and the Referee will receive a bonus (a “Referral Bonus”) for each Qualifying Referral that meets the eligibility criteria as described below. The Referral Bonus shall have a value of $500 or $1000, as indicated below.

A “Qualifying Referral” must meet the following criteria:

• The Referee is not a customer of Coast, and was not previously a customer of Coast, under any email address or alias.
• The Referee is approved for a Coast account and pays down at least $2,000 in fuel purchase statement balances before 1/31/2025 (“Promotion End Date”), net of any chargebacks and returns. Eligible purchases can be made by any driver or user on a single Coast account. Only fuel purchases count toward the $2,000 statement balance – fees or other non-purchase charges do not count.
• The Referee’s Coast account must not be past due or canceled at the time the Referral Bonus is distributed. 
• The referral is made by the Referring Party via submission of a referral link for this offer that is provided in correspondence or promotional materials.

The Referral Bonus shall have a value of $1000 for any Qualifying Referral where the Referee “onboards” at least 20 vehicles into its Coast account by the Promotion End Date. An “onboarded vehicle” means a vehicle added to the Referee’s Coast dashboard and linked to at least one Coast purchase by the Promotion End Date. The Referral Bonus shall have a value of $500 for any Qualifying Referral that does not onboard at least 20 vehicles as described above.

A referral should only be provided directly for the Referring Party’s personal and business acquaintances. The Referring Party may not use any paid advertisement to promote the Referral Program, including but not limited to, paid search marketing, advertisements, affiliate networks, paid email campaigns or other similar methods. The Referring Party may not use a referral to create a new Coast account for themselves or their affiliated entities.

Purchases may settle after the Promotion End Date in some cases, such as due to a delay in merchants submitting transactions to Coast or if the purchase date differs from the date the transaction was processed.

Redeeming Your Referral Bonus

For each Qualifying Referral, you will receive a Referral Bonus four to six weeks after the $2,000 spend threshold is met and paid down by the Referee. The form of Referral Bonus to the Referring Party will be a Visa gift card and the form of Referral Bonus to the Referee will be a  statement credit.

Additional Terms and Restrictions

Your use of the Referral Bonus may be governed by additional or third party terms and conditions. 

The Referral Bonus constitutes a sign up bonus for the Referee. The Referee is only eligible for one sign up bonus and may not combine this Referral Bonus with any other sign up bonuses offered by Coast.

Taxes

The Referral Bonus may qualify as taxable income for you. You are responsible for any federal or state taxes resulting from your participation in the Referral Program. Coast will not be obligated to report federal and state taxes to relevant authorities, but may report such income as required by law.

Reservation of Rights 

Coast reserves the right to withhold, deny or cancel any Referral Bonus and/or suspend or terminate your participation in the Referral Program if we, in our sole discretion, deem the award of any Referral Bonus as fraudulent, abusive, unethical, suspicious or otherwise inconsistent with these Terms and Conditions or any other applicable laws or regulations.

We may update or change eligibility criteria, restrictions, and requirements at any time. We may also condition, restrict or terminate the Referral Bonus and other promotional offerings at any time.

Privacy

Personal information provided in connection with this Referral Program will be used in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
