If your fleet drivers have ever needed a one-time exception for their fleet card spending, managing the process just got a whole lot easier: drivers and administrators can now request policy exceptions through Coast.
What are policy exceptions?
Policy exceptions are designed to help you get drivers back out on the road by allowing administrators to approve one-time authorizations instantly.
When a driver’s card gets declined due to spend policy reasons (outside the allowed time window, spend limit exceeded, transaction limit exceeded), they now have the option to request a one-time authorization from an account administrator. Drivers simply text “Request” once notified of a decline:
Administrators then receive an SMS with a link to approve or deny the request. If approved, the driver will have 24 hours to attempt the transaction. Simply enable the setting in your policies to allow policy exceptions to get started.
